Most cracks are seasonal or cosmetic; some are subsidence, failed lintels or moving structure. The difference is not visible to worry, only to inspection.
- Visual inspection and crack mapping
- Diagnosis of probable cause
- Written report with photographs
- Recommended next steps, including monitoring where warranted
When is a crack serious? +
Width, pattern and progression matter more than existence: stepped cracking wider than about 5 millimetres, or cracks that keep growing, justify investigation. We assess rather than assume.
Will a crack report affect my insurance? +
A report gives you evidence either way. Where subsidence is genuinely suspected we advise on the insurer route before costs are incurred.
